Revival March

God knows how long since I've blog. A-level is really a hectic program with mountain-loads of homework (wish that i was still in standard 6). Ok, did moral project and had went to my scout camp as a scouter. No pics for the camp but oni a video for project.

To my beloved ex-chemistry teacher, good luck. If you had seen the scrapbook pei wen made for you, you would have seen what i wrote for you.

“Good chemistry teacher don’t stop teaching, they just stop reacting”

Thanks so much PE4 for laughing at it and especially wai san for putting it as her personal message, but it’s not my quote. It is a courtesy of technology, mainly with the help Google search that i came up with something.

That’s all i have to say and enjoy the video, courtesy of cheng ze.

Back from being redundant!

It's been days or weeks or who knows how long since I blogged after my last post. Well, like what this post is trying to get across is the message that i found out that I'm not redundant after a month of not studying after SPM. I had small assessments for mathematics and physics and surprisingly i knew how to do most of them although in class i was mostly practicing the art of sleeping with my eyes open.

Thursday was "THE BIG DAY" where students like me will register for clubs and societies. Currently, i am registered with TAYMUN( Taylors Model United Nation), AIESEC and dodgeball club.

I hope i made the right choices as i desperately need them to bring me towards a great leap in entering top universities. Personally, i would like to go to MIT or any other top universities to study. However, due to the recent murder in Virginia Tech, I'm ambivalent on whether it will be a right choice. Well, if i can't get into those universities, I really would like to do my first degree in the prestigious University of Hong Kong. By then, i will be in a dim sum and shoppping heaven!! Happy chinese new year and logging off!!

Education's a headache - really!

Well today was The Star Education Fair 2009, main attraction of students from all over the klang valley and KL. For these group of students(including me), education has become part of our lifestyle, whether we like it or not, as it has been instilled in us ever since the day we officially became students. The education pathway is like walking down a meandering road, with plenty of branches, leading you to paths ranging from gleams of lights or even towards the darkest point man has ever reached. Looking at the bright side, the education fair is benficial mainly for people who are in the state of ambiguity or dilemma. For those who have decided, kudos as we are now in a speedway with many exits ahead of us.

The only exhibitors that could satisfy my needs are the hong kong university exhibitors as well as the canadian education exhibitor(looks quite pathetic). Looking in the unis is a headache!!

That's all i said, goodbye!!

Orientation

As I'm sitting on the chair blogging about this, my brain is reminiscing those good times I had with my friends. Those were the time where sky-high PTA fees became headlines, controversies between friends and my dear friend Ivan Chai who is far far away in Pahang playing a prank on his trusted buddies.

Flashbacks of the time when me and my best pals were addressed as "that group there" by our "favorite" add. maths teacher, Pn. Foo, who has retired quite some time. Chemistry lab was our playground. We weren't the bunch of oh-so-innocent teenagers but the type of real man with raging hormones. Our favorite was definitely the product of KSCN and Fe203 (correct me if i'm wrong), the red bloody effect you always see in horror movies.

Here's an example:

Those were the days but currently we are separated. I'm pursuing A-levels with a bunch of unknown people, my friend ching yung who is in ADP also at Taylor's, Ivan Chai who is far far away in NS, Ivan chooi in SAM, and last but not least say joon awaiting his fate and form 6.
Though I don't have photos of us (cam-shy), but the "famous five" will live on with their legacy(what legacy? I don't know!).

Back to business. Today's orientation was rather normal with the usual staff they do when your were back in your secondary school. Talks, speeches, introduction, motivation.. and the list goes continues. All the classes were given mentor's. I had 2 mentors, literally, because i registered computing but that morning itself i changed to economics. In the classes we were assigned, technically i know none of them. However, I was not the only SEA-parkian there. Cheng Ze from 5A is now officially my classmate. The whole class had ice-breaking session where we played a kind of memory game, "blow wind blow" and sherade ( don't know how to spell). Thanks seniors!! Later on was campus tour!! The place is good for exercise, ascending and descending the stairs, burning off those unwanted calories you accumulated in Asia Cafe. After that, back to the Multi-purpose hall, where the CAL student council members gave a presentation. I'm interested to run for student council president as it will help me with my application to the US. However, deep inside, i'm not that sure as i have never been elected with a post in any clubs or societies and my social skills are down the drain. The turnout of people going to the UK was utmost shocking!! More than 60% of the intake plans to go to UK, mostly planning to pursue medicine in the inaugural Oxbridge, only a handful to the US. With the 10k paid as fees, what i got was rather minimal and surprisingly little things. Only a bag, t-shirt and a receipt!!

That's all I have to say!! Classes are starting tomorrow!! My first subject is thinking skill!! Adios !

Starting College Tomorrow!!!

It's my 1st time blogging and will soon get better as time passes. Well, happy new year!!( although it's a week)Xp . Most of you do have new year resolutions, but i will just pass that. Without further adieu, i will introduce u my college *drums rolling* Taylor's University College, Main Campus!!

I will be doing Cambridge A-levels, and at the same time secretly working out my brain and stamina for the taxing and destructive SAT 1 and 2!! (trust me, it's like a marathon). Not forgetting TOEFL, and probably Cambridge CAE this year!!

That's all i have to say!! So long Dudes and Gals!!!
